Enjoying Glacier Point in the Sierras.

A few weeks ago, my dad found this great old table top press and antique type through a friend of the family.  He no longer used it so I decided to take it home and give it some TLC.  It needs a little re-vamping but I think it should be cranking out some fun creations in no time!

A special hand-made gift for my mother's birthday! 

So, I'm not only married to the very talented Cody Erickson but I am also a huge fan of his work.  Not to mention extremely inspired by his talent and work ethic.  Cody paints me all the time because I'm a free model and, fortunately, he thinks I'm pretty.  Here's a little glimpse of his process throughout the painting he recently finished of me at Griffith Park.  Enjoy!

Sufjan Stevens - rockin' it on the banjo.  I'm so inspired by him, I can't even start to tell you how many nights my husband and I stay up watching his live performances on youtube.  and his newest album The Age of Adz?  breathtaking.  Plus, he's from the mitten.

Right now, Sugar Paper is in summer mode!  I can't complain; I'm ready for sunshine, margaritas, and the beach!  My husband and I live about two miles away from the pacific coast and are determined to soak up as much sun as we can in our free time!  Did I mention we live about thirty minutes from Griffith Park and Malibu Creek State Park?  Yes.  California has mountains and beaches.
