So, I'm not only married to the very talented Cody Erickson but I am also a huge fan of his work. Not to mention extremely inspired by his talent and work ethic. Cody paints me all the time because I'm a free model and, fortunately, he thinks I'm pretty. Sufjan Stevens - rockin' it on the banjo. I'm so inspired by him, I can't even start to tell you how many nights my husband and I stay up watching his live performances on youtube. and his newest album The Age of Adz? breathtaking. Plus, he's from the mitten.

Right now, Sugar Paper is in summer mode! I can't complain; I'm ready for sunshine, margaritas, and the beach! My husband and I live about two miles away from the pacific coast and are determined to soak up as much sun as we can in our free time! Did I mention we live about thirty minutes from Griffith Park and Malibu Creek State Park? Yes. California has mountains and beaches.

This Mother's Day is bittersweet. You see, it's my first Mother's Day with TWO mothers (I now have an amazing Mother-In-Law!) and it is also my first Mother's Day away from both of them. Although they are 3,000 miles away, I am still thinking about them and missing them like crazy.
Mom - Thank you for always being there for me. Through ups and downs, all my crazy phases in life, and during the most challenging moments. I can only hope to be half the Mother that you've been. Thanks for helping me grow into the woman that I am today!
